The results from last newsletter’s trade poll are in. I asked what you thought of this trade submitted by Gregg:

Team A (Rebuilding) receives:

  • 2025 1.14

  • 2025 2.09

  • Trey Benson

  • Will McDonald

  • Tyrice Knight

  • Brian Branch

Team B (Contender) receives:

  • 2025 1.02 (Omarion Hampton)

  • Antoine Winfield

Survey says… Team B is the winner in convincing fashion.

Here are some additional comments left by the voters from each side:

Team A voters (Rebuilding):

  • “Team A is the bread winner here! Getting 2 draft picks, Benson, and IDPs to bolster the lineup! Come on man! It's EASY! 🏈🏆”

Team B voters (Contender):

  • “A will have to drop additional players to make up for average players.”

  • “Trey Benson and 1.14/2.09 (Golden or Burden) wouldn’t be enough for Hampton”

Our take:

  • I’m not going to pretend like I know IDP because I’ve never played that format before, but it seems like Team B gave up a lot. On the other hand, Omarion Hampton is the best player in the deal. So if the contender is trading from a surplus on the defensive side, I’m guessing they’re going all-in for a run this year. This is one of the most unique leagues I’ve come across — love when people get deep into the weeds.

Today’s contestant…

This trade comes in from your fellow sub, Darian. Everyone say, “HI DARIAN.”

Team A (Middle of the pack) receives:

  • Colston Loveland

Team B (Rebuilder) receives:

  • D’Andre Swift

  • Jack Bech

  • Shedeur Sanders

  • 2026 2nd

16 articles + videos we loved this week:

Articles:

Podcasts/Videos:

QB - Jalen Milroe

  • Jalen Milroe, drafted by the Seattle Seahawks, is generating significant buzz in camp, with some fans believing he could start more than four or five games this year.

  • Milroe posted 726 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns last year at Alabama, but struggled with accuracy and reads in a new pro-style offense.

  • Despite being raw as a passer, he's reportedly showing improved accuracy in camp, and the Seahawks took a third-round flyer on his upside.

  • The host predicts Milroe will be used heavily in the red zone and could notch four or five rushing touchdowns as a rookie, with major long-term upside for fantasy managers willing to take a chance.

RB - Trey Benson

  • Despite taking a backseat to James Conner in his debut season, Benson showed promise with 4.6 YPA and 9.8 yards per reception

  • Has received strong praise from head coach Jonathan Gannon early in camp

  • Reportedly gained weight and is 'more explosive' entering his sophomore campaign

  • Stands as the clear high-upside stash behind the injury-prone Conner

WR - Jayden Reed

  • Reed has shown extremely efficient fantasy production when on the field, but was limited by slot-only usage and the Packers' run-heavy approach

  • There are rumors he might see work in two-receiver sets in 2025

  • Currently available for approximately a 2nd round pick plus additional value in trades

  • Expected to bounce back significantly in 2025 despite current negative sentiment

WR - Chris Godwin

  • Chris Godwin, who was excellent last year and outperformed stars like Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb in points per game, has seen his ranking plummet due to a second ankle surgery in the spring and concerning viral photos of his ankle.

  • The timeline for Godwin to return to full health is unclear, and with other Bucs receivers like Emeka Egbuka getting rave reviews, Godwin's path to being a confident fantasy starter looks shaky.

  • Godwin has been dropped to WR50 in the rankings, and while he still has best ball appeal for late-season upside, he's now a risky pick in standard redraft formats where lineup predictability is key.

TE - Kyle Pitts

  • Pitts caught 47 passes for 602 yards and four touchdowns in the previous season, with the touchdowns being his career high but catches and targets declining from the year before

  • In 2024, Pitts averaged only 8 points per game, ranking as TE18, with single-digit points in 10 games from Weeks 1-17

  • The article suggests avoiding Pitts in fantasy drafts, citing concerns about his production with Michael Penix Jr. at QB and competition from Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Bijan Robinson
