A cheat code for people in multiple leagues

I’m in 5 leagues this year (4 dynasty, 1 redraft).

I have a few players that overlap on those teams, and with roughly 16-25 roster spots + IR + taxi, I ended up with exactly 100 players that I follow in my Dynasty Pulse Premium account.

These are mostly players I own or want to keep close tabs on (e.g. if I have Bigsby, I’ll also follow Tuten and Etienne to see what is being said about his competition):

Players I follow

How could anybody reasonably expect to keep tabs on that many players on their own?

I don’t know. And that’s exactly why I built our website. Because I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing there’s so much info about my own players that I’m missing and not factoring into my weekly decisions.

Now, I skim my personalized feed of player insights every day for a few minutes and am the most informed I’ve ever been in my decades of playing fantasy football.

All in a fraction of the time it used to take to read hundreds of articles and listen to hours of podcasts.

Like I said… cheat code.

Want to get the cheat code for yourself? AKA: bulleted, fantasy and dynasty football insights for every NFL player any time they’re mentioned in a fantasy football article, podcast, or YouTube video every single day

Well, now’s a great time to start because right now, we’re running a 50% Off NFL Kickoff Sale that expires 9/4 when the TNF game starts, so lock in your discount today.

The results from last newsletter’s trade poll are in. I asked what you thought of this trade submitted by anonymous:

Team A receives:

  • George Pickens

  • Jauan Jennings

  • 2025 1.11

  • 2025 2.01

Team B receives:

  • Jonathan Taylor

Survey says… Team A won in a nail-biter with 90.91% of the vote

Here are some additional comments left by the voters from each side:

Team A voters (Pickens, Jauan, 1.11, 2.01):

  • “This isn’t very close for me. Taylor is great but he’s been in the league for 4 years already, had a huge workload in college, and has missed 3-6 games each year the past 3 years. I’m not sure he can be an RB1 more than another couple of years (if he can stay healthy) and his team has to improve for him to potentially be an elite RB1. The 2025 class was stacked even toward the end of the 1st so those two picks are closer to mid-1sts for me most years. Then, you get a solid playable guy in Jennings and a potential WR2 in Pickens in Dallas if they can keep Dak healthy. That’s a LOT to give up for JT.”

Team B voters (JT):

  • No brave souls cared to comment

Our take:

  • Love the breakdown by the Team A commenter above 👏

  • There are maybeeeee 3 RBs that would be worth this price? And JT is not one of those RBs.

  • If you replace JT in this trade with Bijan, Gibbs, or Jeanty (our consensus top 3 RBs), KTC still favors the side getting Pickens+. And those three RBs are 3+ years younger than JT.

Today’s contestant…

Note: All position rankings below are from our Expert Consensus Dynasty Superflex PPR Rankings

QB5 - Jalen Hurts (PHI)

  • Jalen Hurts faces an ideal matchup against the Cowboys defense that was the worst in the league against quarterback rushing in 2024, allowing the most rushing yards and touchdowns (10) to the position. Hurts himself scored twice against Dallas in their only matchup last season.

  • The Cowboys' defensive vulnerabilities extend beyond just the ground game, as they were also bottom-10 in passing touchdowns allowed last season, setting up Hurts for success through both phases of the offense.

  • The article emphasizes this as a dream matchup for Hurts managers, suggesting he could have a strong performance both through the air and on the ground in the season opener.

RB44 - Javonte Williams (DAL)

  • Javonte Williams, now with the Cowboys, showed promising signs in the first half of last season despite coming off injuries, ranking 13th in missed tackle rate (20%) among 43 qualifying backs in Weeks 1-8 according to Fantasy Points Data. However, his performance declined significantly after Week 8, failing to force any missed tackles for the remainder of the season.

  • Williams finished as the RB36 in fantasy points per game last season and enters 2025 as a potential starter for Dallas, competing primarily with Miles Sanders and Jaydon Blue for the lead role in the backfield.

  • The article suggests Williams could be this year's J.K. Dobbins, with potential to elevate from an RB3 to RB2 status if he can maintain or improve upon his early 2024 performance level and continue his recovery from previous injuries.

WR8 - Nico Collins (HOU)

  • Nico Collins has emerged as a dominant force, leading all wide receivers in yards per route run versus man coverage since the start of 2023. He's distinguished himself by being the only wide receiver to rank in the top 10 in yards per route run against both zone and man coverage in consecutive years.

  • Collins demonstrated elite potential early in 2024, ranking as the WR2 overall in Weeks 1-5 with an impressive 21.6 points per game average before a hamstring injury interrupted his season. While injury concerns exist, his performance when healthy suggests significant upside.

  • As the clear alpha receiver in Houston's offense, Collins' outlook is particularly promising given the uncertain status of Tank Dell and Christian Kirk's injury history. The addition of two rookie receivers doesn't appear to threaten his position as the team's primary receiving option.

WR81 - Keenan Allen (LAC)

  • Keenan Allen has signed a one-year, $8.52 million contract with the Chargers, coming off a 2024 season where he performed as WR38 in points per game (WR35 overall) with the Bears. Despite being in a struggling offense with a rookie quarterback, Allen still managed to finish in the top-20 in targets per game with 8.1.

  • In the final 8 games of the 2024 season, Allen showed his continued effectiveness by narrowly outperforming D.J. Moore and leading the Bears in targets, demonstrating his ability to produce even in suboptimal conditions.

  • While at 33 years old Allen may not replicate his outstanding 2023 performance with the Chargers (where he finished as WR8 overall and WR3 in PPG), his connection with Justin Herbert suggests he will remain fantasy relevant when healthy, as he's expected to command a significant target share.

TE11 - Dalton Kincaid (BUF)

  • Dalton Kincaid's 2024 season was derailed by knee and shoulder injuries after Week 9, significantly impacting his performance. In Weeks 1-9, he only managed to rank as TE15 in fantasy points per game, which was considered a major disappointment given his talent and the high-scoring Buffalo offense.

  • Despite some concerning efficiency metrics, Kincaid showed promise in certain areas, ranking sixth in target share (19.2%) and first in first-read share (21.3%) among 38 qualifying tight ends. However, his yards per route run (1.71) and first downs per route run were less impressive, ranking 17th and 15th respectively.

  • Kincaid's role in the Buffalo offense appears to be limited by the presence of Dawson Knox and the team's offensive design, as evidenced by his 64.9% route per dropback rate (19th among tight ends). His future success will depend heavily on improved efficiency and an expanded role in 2025.

That’s all for today!

See ya pizza,

Joe
