Yooo!
Happy TNF to all who celebrate. I’m trying to manifest a big game for McBride tonight. SEA hasn’t been good against the TE. How about 100+ and a TD? Is that too much to ask for?
Tonight, we’re covering 5 players who have been trending down.
Giddy up.

In case you missed it, we launched our $25 survivor pool! The contest starts week 5 and is hosted on Splash Sports.

QB - Michael Penix Jr. (ATL)
Penix Jr. has shown concerning regression after an initially promising 2025 debut. After passing for 298 yards and two total touchdowns in Week 1, he has delivered back-to-back disappointing performances, culminating in a disastrous Week 3 showing where he completed just 18-of-36 passes for 172 yards with two interceptions in a 30-0 shutout loss.
Through his first two weeks, Penix Jr.'s average depth of target (aDOT) was surprisingly low at 6.8, ranking 23rd among quarterbacks with 50+ dropbacks. This conservative approach is particularly puzzling given his arm strength, and his shallow passing game usage combined with accuracy issues is creating systemic problems for Atlanta's offense.
The quarterback's struggles are having a significant negative impact on the fantasy outlook for Atlanta's passing game weapons. While Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts may maintain their value, expectations need to be severely tempered for receivers like Drake London and Darnell Mooney until the Falcons can address their quarterback and offensive issues.
Our take: I owned Kirk Cousins in one dynasty league for 4 years before Penix took over, so Penix isn’t necessarily my favorite player to root for. But I do think he’s closer to the Week 1 QB than these past 2 weeks. I would still be patient. Wouldn’t be going out of my way to acquire him, though.
QB - Trevor Lawrence (JAX)
Mentioned in: Podcast: 10 Trends for Week 4
Trevor Lawrence has struggled badly in 2025 with one of the league’s worst passer ratings in a clean pocket, only ahead of rookies like JJ McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr.
Shockingly, Jacksonville’s O-line has limited pressure—only Buffalo has been pressured less—so this is a Lawrence problem, not protection related.
Receiver drops haven’t helped, but Lawrence’s inefficiency has dragged down the entire Jaguars offense from a fantasy perspective.
Our take: This summary would have me extremely concerned if I were a Lawrence owner. I guess it’s still only 3 weeks with a new coach and system, but he’s running out of chances to prove himself, in my opinion.
RB - Ashton Jeanty (LV)
Mentioned in: YouTube: Browns RB Quinshon Judkins DOMINATES in Second NFL Start | Week 3 WINNERS and LOSERS!
Ashton Jeanty has stumbled out of the gate, posting 17 carries for 63 yards (3.7 YPC) in Week 3 with zero targets in the passing game.
Despite being drafted as the #1 overall rookie pick in many leagues, Jeanty ranks just RB32 so far and has been outscored by other rookies like Judkins, Hampton, and Dylan Sampson.
Analysts are concerned the Raiders aren’t using Jeanty as a pass catcher, which was supposed to be a defining trait of his skillset.
While long-term optimism remains, his short-term outlook is grim given a new blocking scheme, a bad offensive line, and criticisms that he doesn’t look special at the NFL level.
Our take: I think he’ll be fine long-term, but his current situation is holding him back more than expected. Just gotta be patient.
WR - Jerry Jeudy (CLE)
Mentioned in: Fantasy Football Warning Signals for Week 4? Jerry Jeudy, Travis Hunter, Trey Benson, Zach Ertz
Jerry Jeudy leads the Browns with a 15.6% target share, but this is concerning as it represents the lowest team-leading share in the NFL. Through three games, Jeudy has only converted 21 targets into 10 catches for 134 yards, despite Cleveland leading the league in pass rate and ranking third in pace of play.
Jeudy's struggles may be linked to his inability to create separation, as his average cushion of 4.9 yards at the line of scrimmage ranks 18th smallest among measured players. Additionally, he's averaging just two yards of separation when targeted, the thirteenth shortest distance in the league.
Both Jeudy and quarterback Joe Flacco have acknowledged offensive struggles in media interviews, but neither has provided concrete solutions for improvement. Given these factors, Jeudy projects as a borderline WR3/4 for Week 4, with the recommendation to bench him until Cleveland's passing attack shows better results.
Our take: I have him in one redraft league and am benching him until he turns it around. The separation issues have me concerned long-term, too…
WR - Drake London (ATL)
Mentioned in: YouTube: Browns RB Quinshon Judkins DOMINATES in Second NFL Start | Week 3 WINNERS and LOSERS!
Drake London battled through injury to post 5 catches for 55 yards in Week 3, but the Falcons’ offense was crushed 30-0 by Carolina.
Michael Penix Jr. looks overwhelmed at QB, bringing down the entire passing game, while London’s catch rate has dipped to 59% with a negative receiving EPA.
Analysts are calling for Kirk Cousins to replace Penix as Atlanta’s starter, believing London’s WR1 ceiling is unattainable without competent QB play.
After finishing WR5 last season, it’s clear London won’t reach those heights in 2025, though he remains a strong starting option if the Falcons stabilize.
Our take: This feels like an overreaction after just 3 games. I’d buy low where I can. I think he’ll be fine regardless of who is at QB.

Yesterday’s poll results:

🥇 Best subscriber comment (Early 2nd): “It’s a gamble right now with Hunter. He could be unusable but the Jaguars did invest a lot in getting him. They’re gonna make an effort to make it work. Their whole offense is struggling so if that can get on track that could change things by itself.”
Our take: I was surprised to see people so down on Hunter. My vote would’ve been late 1st. I’d pay any 2nd for him and bet the talent comes through sooner or later.
