Yooo!
Happy Friday to all who celebrate.

We’re covering some matchups and start/sit insights tonight. So let’s dive right in.
Giddy up.

Going to bring back a condensed version of this section each day, shouting out some great content in the industry:

RB - Jordan Mason (MIN)
Jordan Mason profiles as a strong Week 7 start off the bye versus Philadelphia, whose defense has surrendered 15+ points to RBs five times this season, including three over 20 and one explosion to 31
With the Eagles more generous to RBs than their reputation suggests and Mason set up for volume, he’s a appealing play especially if the backfield remains without Aaron Jones
Our take: Our weekly consensus projections have him as RB17 and 13.10 ppr points, which puts him firmly on the RB2 radar. It’s also potentially his last shot to make a statement as the #1 ball carrier in MIN with Aaron Jones trending towards returning in Week 8.
RB - Isiah Pacheco (KC)
Mentioned in: YouTube: Start or sit Jerry Jeudy, Brian Thomas Jr. and MORE | One question for every Week 7 NFL Game
Isiah Pacheco’s usage trended up with his first three snaps inside the five and five third-down routes last week after only four total third-down routes across the first five games.
Analysts are cautiously optimistic about more high-value work but warn that Kareem Hunt’s goal-line presence and matchup tendencies could cap Isiah Pacheco’s touchdown chances.
Our take: Our weekly consensus projections have him as RB33 and 8.70 ppr points. Until he gets more consistent work, he remains a TD-dependent low-end RB3.
WR - Matthew Golden (GB)
Mentioned in: YouTube: NFL Week 7 Fantasy Football MUST START or Sit
Matthew Golden is framed as a Week 7 WR3/flex with upside after a post-bye bump in involvement, delivering a season-high 86 receiving yards on five targets and adding two carries for 16 yards for 13.2 PPR points.
Analysts highlight Matthew Golden’s dominance versus two-high shells, noting 3.3 yards per route run and team-leading targets per route against that coverage, making the Arizona matchup appealing if the game stays close.
Our take: Our weekly consensus projections have him as WR45 and 9.10 ppr points. Basically, it comes down to hoping that he connects on one deep shot with Love. I’d decide on starting him based on my projected matchup. If I need a boom game, Golden is interesting. If I need a safer floor, I’d maybe look elsewhere.
QB - Jared Goff (DET)
Mentioned in: Week 7 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Top lineup picks (and benches) from Justin Boone
Goff has been one of the most predictable players to project this season due to his clear indoor-outdoor performance splits, and is positioned for a significant performance on Monday night as he returns home to face a depleted Buccaneers team.
The matchup heavily favors Goff, as the Lions are 5.5-point favorites against Tampa Bay's pass-funnel defense, which is currently allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. This includes giving up over 340 passing yards to both Sam Darnold and Mac Jones in their previous two games.
With the Lions dealing with several defensive injuries and the game having the second-highest projected point total of the week at 52.5, conditions are ideal for Goff to put up strong numbers in this home matchup.
Our take: Our weekly consensus projections have him as QB9 and 19.90 ppr points. You’re probably starting Goff no matter what in most superflex leagues, but I wanted to highlight this matchup. I also thought this insight from another one of our summaries on Dynasty Pulse Premium was compelling: “The crew cites Jared Goff’s league-best yards per attempt vs the blitz and zero sacks taken on blitzed dropbacks against a Bucs defense blitzing at a top-5 rate, in a projected shootout with Baker Mayfield.”
WR - Rashee Rice (KC)
Mentioned in: Prop Talk: Week 7
Rashee Rice is returning to action in Week 7 after not playing since Week 4 of the 2024 season, when he suffered a torn LCL from an accidental hit by Patrick Mahomes II. Rice also served a six-game suspension related to legal and NFL proceedings from a car crash incident.
Rice has historically performed well against the Las Vegas Raiders, averaging over 80 yards per game in his career against them. The Raiders' defensive scheme, which features 44% Cover 3 (second-highest in the league), plays to Rice's strengths as he has averaged over 4 Yards per Route Run against Cover 3 coverage.
While there has been speculation about Rice's workload in his return game, head coach Andy Reid has dismissed these concerns. The matchup suggests Rice could potentially see 8+ targets in what appears to be a favorable home game situation against the Raiders.
Our take: Our weekly consensus projections have him as WR14 and 14.30 ppr points. It’s good that there seem to be no workload restrictions for Rice this week. If you’ve been holding, you gotta be pumped to slot him in your lineup this week.

Yesterday’s poll results:

🥇 Best subscriber comment (Yes): “Top 12...and not 1-11”
Our take: Oooo this was a close one. He’s 11 in our consensus dynasty rankings. The names right behind him are Love (12), Stroud (13), Purdy (14), Dak (15), Kyler (16), and Dart (17). That feels about right, and I could see an argument for moving 1 or 2 of these guys ahead of Nix.
