Yooo!

Call me old fashioned, but I’d rather have one MNF game than two. A 10pm EST start time just doesn’t sit right.

Let me know what you think in tonight’s poll at the bottom of this email.

Anyway, enough small talk. Let’s get to our top 5 takeaways from week 7.

Giddy up.

TE - Oronde Gadsden (LAC)

  • Oronde Gadsden erupted with back-to-back 7-catch outings and 29.4 PPR points, averaging nearly nine targets per game and clearing 100 yards in consecutive weeks.

  • The window to buy is declared closed; managers holding him likely won’t sell for anything short of a first, as he profiles as a top-2 target in the offense tied to a quality quarterback.

  • Hosts compared the edge he provides to the Trey McBride and Brock Bowers tier of difference-making tight ends, praising his athletic, receiver-first skill set in a pass-leaning game script.

  • Bold stance: In what they called potentially one of the greatest tight end classes, Gadsden is a major riser with staying power, not a flash in the pan; they’d reject offers like Jake Ferguson straight-up and even balk at late firsts.

  • Our take: I’m activating him from my taxi squad next week to fill in for McBride on bye. The most encouraging part of this breakout to me is the consistent rise in snap % (0, 0, 26, 48, 54, 75, 79). I agree with the podcast in that this doesn’t feel like a flash in the pan. However, I’m still keeping my expectations in check rest of year. The Chargers have 4 quality pass catchers and I don’t believe he has officially earned that top-2 target label yet.

RB - Saquon Barkley (PHI)

  • Barkley has experienced a significant decline in production, failing to reach 100+ scrimmage yards in any game this season, compared to achieving this milestone in 13 of 16 games in 2024. The Eagles' offensive scheme changes and offensive line downgrades have significantly impacted his performance.

  • Barkley's efficiency metrics have drastically declined, with his yards before contact dropping from the best rate among RBs in 2024 to 27th out of 37 qualified RBs in 2025. The Eagles' shift to more zone runs, combined with fewer designed runs with Jalen Hurts, has allowed defenses to focus more on containing Barkley.

  • The most striking statistic showing Barkley's regression is his explosive rush yards, which have plummeted from 835 yards (42% of his total yardage) in 2024 to just 69 yards (18.7%) in 2025. This dramatic decrease in big-play ability has significantly impacted his fantasy value.

  • Our take: Our premium feed summaries show mixed reactions for Saquon with some sources saying he “doesn’t look the same physically” and others saying he “looks great on the field.” I don’t know what to think anymore. I haven’t watched him enough to have my own opinion, but I’m holding where I have him and would probably look for other buying options as a contender.

RB - TreVeyon Henderson (NE)

  • TreVeyon Henderson’s role cratered as he was out-snapped and out-touched by Terrell Jennings despite not being injured, prompting the host to enter full panic mode

  • While a dynasty value pivot like swapping D'Andre Swift for TreVeyon Henderson might appeal to some, the host emphasizes the lack of current fantasy points and lingering concerns from college about short-yardage toughness and the Judkins signal from Ohio State

  • Our take: When I read this summary, I had to double take. I literally went to the game log because I didn’t believe it. Terrell Jennings outsnapping TreVeyon Henderson was not on my bingo card for this week. Full panic mode seems like the only logical reaction, but, I wouldn’t sell low either. Just embrace the pain. This is as ugly as it gets.

RB - Kyle Monangai (CHI)

  • Monangai had his best performance in Week 7 against the Saints, rushing for 81 yards on 13 carries and scoring a touchdown, while adding two receptions for 13 yards, totaling 16.4 fantasy points.

  • While D'Andre Swift remains the Bears' lead back, Monangai's impressive showing came in a game where Chicago built a 20-7 halftime lead, creating a favorable game script for the running game.

  • Though Monangai's weekly usage may not match this level consistently, he positions himself as a valuable handcuff option, with potential for a bellcow role in what's developing into a solid offense should Swift suffer an injury.

  • Our take: You can’t help but make the comparisons to the DET Gibbs/Monty duo. Monangai seems like Monty-lite. It’s hard to tell how good the Bears are. Their rest-of-season schedule is much tougher than who they’ve played so far. I don’t know how many games they’ll be up and controlling the clock with the run game. But for now, this backfield is on the uptrend. And Monangai is looking like a high upside handcuff.

WR - Xavier Legette (CAR)

  • Xavier Legette had a breakout performance in Week 7, leading Carolina with career-best numbers across the board: 9-of-11 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown. This marked the first time all season he led the Panthers in catches, targets, and yardage.

  • While Tetairoa McMillan appears to remain the No. 1 option, Legette's athletic prowess (described as similar to a slightly lighter version of Pittsburgh's DK Metcalf) makes him an intriguing prospect if he can refine his game. The Panthers' offense is actively seeking another viable outlet for their quarterback.

  • Legette showed promising chemistry with veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, who targeted him five times in just a quarter's worth of work after replacing an injured Bryce Young (ankle). Though teammate Jalen Coker's return from a quad injury could affect the receiver rotation, Legette is likely to maintain his role as flanker across from McMillan in two-wide sets.

  • Our take: Legette has largely been a dissappointment thus far into his career. Maybe he can build some momentum off this game. The #2 receiving option in this offense is still completely up for grabs.

RB - Quinshon Judkins (CLE)

  • Quinshon Judkins has established himself as the offensive centerpiece for the Cleveland Browns, demonstrating his dominance in Week 7 by taking 25 of the team's 29 handoffs and producing 84 yards with three touchdowns, including a notable 46-yard touchdown run.

  • Judkins has shown consistent heavy usage, carrying the ball 20+ times in three of his last four games since taking over the backfield after Week 3. In these high-volume games, he has either surpassed 100 yards or found the end zone in all three contests.

  • While his running style isn't always efficient or pretty, Judkins has proven his fantasy value by topping 20 PPR points twice this season, including a substantial 26.4-point performance in Week 7. His high usage suggests continued touchdown opportunities in the future.

  • Our take: 20+ carries don’t grow on trees anymore. The offense isn’t great, but that doesn’t seem to matter. They’re going to feed him anyway. He was RB12 in our consensus rankings coming into last week. If he keeps this up, it’s not crazy to think he could push his way towards the top 5 dynasty RBs.

🥇 Best subscriber comment (No trade deadline): “Trade deadlines are for the birds”

Our take: I was surprised to see “No trade deadline” as the most popular choice. It’s been tough just to get the deadline moved back in my dynasty leagues. Trading during the playoffs still seems kind of wild to me haha
