We updated our consensus rankings on Monday (as is tradition).
Here are some notable risers and fallers from the past week (all insights are pulled from our Dynasty Pulse Premium feeds):
📈 Risers:
+10 📈 Tyler Warren (54 OVR, TE3, IND)
Mentioned in : YouTube: Week 1 Fantasy Football Winners and Losers
Rookie TE Tyler Warren erupted in his NFL debut, drawing 9 targets, catching 7 passes for 76 yards, and scoring 14.6 fantasy points.
Already Daniel Jones’ favorite target, Warren could mirror a Brock Bowers–like rookie impact with top-5 fantasy upside in 2025.
Hosts emphasized that passing on Warren in dynasty drafts will be costly; he’s rising as a true league-winning asset.
+9 📈 Elic Ayomanor (155 OVR, WR63, TEN)
Mentioned in : Podcast: 15 Transactions for Week 2
Elic Ayomanor emerged as Tennessee’s WR2 in Week 1, running a route on 82% of dropbacks with a 28% target share.
Though he scored just 3.3 PPR points, underlying metrics (top 15 in air yard share) scream sleeper breakout.
Rookie wideouts rarely post 25%+ target shares in Week 1 — Ayomanor joined a list of elite names like Ja'Marr Chase and Puka Nacua.
JJ Zachariason emphasizes adding him now while being overlooked in most leagues.
+23 📈 Javonte Williams (126 OVR, RB35, DAL)
Javonte Williams established himself as the clear lead back in Dallas during Week 1, posting 20.4 fantasy points against the Eagles with two rushing touchdowns. His workload was dominant, with 17 opportunities compared to Miles Sanders' mere five touches, while Jaydon Blue was a healthy scratch.
Williams' usage metrics were particularly impressive, as he commanded a 79% running back rush share and ran routes on 77% of Dak Prescott's drop-backs. The snap count disparity was equally telling, with Williams outsnapping Sanders 47 to 11, demonstrating his clear command of the backfield.
Looking ahead to Week 2 against the Giants, Williams is positioned for continued success. The Giants' defense just allowed Jacory Croskey-Merritt to average 8.2 yards per rushing attempt and score 14.2 fantasy points, suggesting Williams could find similar success given his established role in the offense.
📉 Fallers:
-14 📉 Joe Mixon (157 OVR, RB45, HOU)
Mentioned in : Expected Return Dates for Key NFL Players: Week 1 Fantasy Football Injury Updates for Joe Mixon, Chris Godwin, Brandon Aiyuk, more
Joe Mixon is facing an uncertain 2025 season due to a concerning foot injury that has placed him on the reserve/non-football injury list, guaranteeing he'll miss at least the first four games. The Texans' general manager Nick Caserio has been notably non-committal about whether Mixon will play at all in 2025.
The injury situation has come as a surprise, especially considering Mixon's productive 2024 season where he accumulated 1,016 rushing yards, 309 receiving yards, and 12 combined touchdowns. His absence creates a significant void in the Texans' offense.
With no reports showing progress in Mixon's recovery and the possibility of missing the entire season, fantasy managers are advised against rostering him, even as an IR stash. The lingering nature of the foot issue and lack of positive updates make him too risky for roster consideration.
-2 📉 A.J. Brown (35 OVR, WR14, PHI)
A.J. Brown's Week 1 performance was notably poor, managing only four receptions for 24 yards, which was attributed to a lingering hamstring injury and the Eagles' run-heavy game plan. Despite this setback, analysts expect him to return to top-10 WR production soon, given his elite talent and role in Philadelphia's pass-friendly offense.
Multiple experts identified Brown as a prime buy-low candidate after his stunning 1 for 8 night in Week 1. The consensus is that Brown's quiet performance was largely due to Dallas allowing Philadelphia to dink-and-dunk their way on offense, leaving both Brown and DeVonta Smith with limited opportunities.
Brown's track record suggests this dip is temporary - he was a 1,400-yard receiver in both 2022 and 2023, accumulating 1,079 yards and seven TDs in just 13 games last year despite playing in the league's run-heaviest offense. Analysts suggest targeting him in trades now, potentially offering players like Breece Hall or Tony Pollard who had strong Week 1 performances.
🚨 DYNASTY PULSE ALERT 🚨 A.J. Brown’s overall ranking is currently at a 6-month low, making him an ideal BUY candidate if you believe in a turnaround.
-3 📉 David Montgomery (99 OVR, RB25, DET)
Mentioned in : YouTube: Week 1 Fantasy Football Winners and Losers
David Montgomery looked like a Week 1 loser in Detroit’s offense, operating as a plodding two-down back with limited upside.
With Jahmyr Gibbs flashing as the explosive playmaker and red-zone option, Montgomery’s fantasy role is fading fast.
Analysts fear his lack of creativity and reduced opportunity make him little more than a fringe flex unless Gibbs gets injured.
