Yooo!
Tonight’s newsletter will be a little different than our normal risers & fallers because we noticed some particularly interesting movement in our rankings that we thought was worth digging into. So let’s get right to it.
Giddy up.

We updated our consensus rankings today (as is the new tradition).
As I mentioned in the intro, there was some interesting movement, so here’s the full scoop…
Every week, my business partner (Lyle) and I update the weekly rankings and QA the data to make sure everything looks accurate before we update the website.
Today, we noticed that something looked off with Jordan Love’s ranking on Fantasy Pros vs. all the other sources:
Fantasy Pros = down -23 spots overall
KTC = +5
Fantasy Calc = +9
Draft Sharks = +6
Dynasty Daddy = no change
That type of movement doesn’t really happen with players in the top 50 — especially when that player has been arguably playing at an MVP-level on one of the best teams through 2 weeks.
Naturally, we thought something was wrong with our data, but when we investigated on Fantasy Pros, everything checked out.
Here’s where things get more interesting…
So then we decided to check all of the QBs on Fantasy Pros and almost every QB saw some sort of drop. Here are a handful of examples.
Bo Nix -6
CJ Stroud -9
Justin Herbert -9
Baker Mayfield -11
Kyler Murray -12
Michael Penix Jr. -14
Trevor Lawrence -17
the list goes on
This is very abnormal based on all the rankings we’ve been tracking every week since March.
To us, this could be 1 of 2 things:
FantasyPros did some sort of re-evaluation of how they rank their QBs in dynasty (most likely what happened).
Something might be off with their rankings this week, and maybe they will revert back to their historical norm next week. We’ll let you know if that happens.
Either way, the main takeaway is this:
You should ALWAYS be consulting multiple sources of information when doing your research.
^ This is one of the main reasons we built Dynasty Pulse.
There is a lot of great information out there, but if you rely solely on one source, you could be above or below market consensus and not even know it.
But by using our Dynasty Pulse consensus ranking for Jordan Love, you would see that he only moved down 1 spot overall. The 3 sources where he moved up help balance out the -23 spots on Fantasy Pros.
This gives you a more accurate picture of the market week to week.
Hope that breakdown was helpful!

Yesterday’s poll results:

🥇 Best subscriber comment (Troy Franklin): “Franklin for me because I feel that his price hasn't caught up to his performances yet.”
Our take: Kraft was one of my favorite players to draft this offseason. Back in one of our July newsletters, we highlighted an insight from FantasyLand Football’s YouTube channel where he was described as a “dark horse candidate to finish as the TE1 overall.” Through two games, that’s exactly where he’s at — #1. Let’s see if he keeps it up!
