RB - J.K. Dobbins (DEN)
Dobbins has demonstrated remarkable consistency this season, ranking as a top-24 RB in 6 of 7 games, joining an elite group that includes only six other running backs such as Jonathan Taylor and Christian McCaffrey.
The Broncos' offensive line has been providing excellent support for Dobbins, ranking 2nd in adjusted yards before contact and creating significant running lanes for him to exploit.
Dobbins has a prime matchup against the Cowboys, who rank bottom-five across nearly every rushing metric, including 31st in rush success rate allowed on zone runs and last in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs over the last month.
Our take: This entire offseason, everybody was gushing over Harvey. But Dobbins has reminded us every week that last season was no fluke. He doesn’t have the same upside as some of the top-tier starting RBs, but he’s as solid an RB2 as you can find. I expect more of the same for the rest of the year.
QB - Sam Darnold (SEA)
Mentioned in: Revisiting 7 fantasy football truths we wish we knew back in the heart of draft season
Sam Darnold has experienced a career renaissance in Seattle after Minnesota let him walk following a strong but ultimately disappointing end to his Vikings tenure. He's currently leading the NFL in yards per attempt and boasting an impressive 109.2 passer rating.
Darnold's success has made Minnesota regret their decision to move on from him in favor of J.J. McCarthy. While McCarthy has struggled, showing good play in only one quarter of the 2025 season, Darnold has emerged as a legitimate star for the Seahawks.
The quarterback has developed a particularly strong connection with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, helping elevate JSN to elite receiver status. Their partnership has been so effective that the article suggests the Seahawks could be a dark horse Super Bowl contender in the wide-open NFC.
Our take: I did not expect this at all from Darnold this year. The way he ended in MIN was ugly. And that recency bias caused me to avoid Darnold everywhere. I actually targeted Jalen Milroe a lot because I had so little confidence in Darnold. So far, I’ve been way off, and it looks like Darnold is here to stay.
QB - Lamar Jackson (BAL)
Jackson is currently working his way back from an injury, with his status for the upcoming game uncertain after being only a limited participant in practice, working behind both Cooper Rush and Snoop Huntley.
The Ravens defense has been struggling significantly, allowing 37 or more points in four out of their six games this season, regardless of the team's injury situation.
The uncertainty around Jackson's health status is notable as he was limited in practice, with the article suggesting this doesn't show much confidence that he will be 100% for Sunday's game.
Our take: The Ravens defense is so bad, the offense must come into every game thinking they need 40+ points to win. Lamar was off to a hot start before the injury with 29, 26, and 27 points. He’s obviously almost impossible to acquire, but Zay Flowers would be the guy I’m eyeing. Feel like people are sleeping on him with the amount of pass-heavy game scripts they should have moving forward.
RB - Blake Corum (LAR)
Mentioned in: Roundtable: Underrated Stashes
Blake Corum has demonstrated superior efficiency with a +0.07 EPA per rush attempt, ranking sixth among running backs with 25-plus carries this season, significantly outperforming Kyren Williams who has -0.10 EPA per rush attempt (37th).
Corum currently ranks 9th in explosive rating compared to Williams' 28th ranking, suggesting higher big-play potential despite his current backup role in the offense.
The analysis suggests Corum could become a fantasy league winner if Williams experiences an ankle injury, with potential for top-12 fantasy production as a workhorse in Sean McVay's offense.
Our take: Everybody in the fantasy football community has been touting Kyren Williams as a sell candidate for the last 2+ years. I know this because I sold him 2 years ago and have regretted it ever since. I don’t think Kyren loses this job without injury, but if he ever misses time, Corum’s league-winning potential seems legit.
QB - Spencer Rattler (NOR)
Mentioned in: 10 Things to Know For Week 8: The Biggest Fantasy Busts, Love for Spencer Rattler and More
Spencer Rattler has shown improvement this season, ranking 24th in EPA per dropback (+0.03) and 15th in completion rate over expected (+2.1%) among 34 QBs with 100+ dropbacks. His performance includes a respectable 4.3% big-time throw rate, ranking 14th and surpassing the last three MVP winners.
The article highlights that Rattler has helped enable consistent production from his receivers, with Chris Olave (WR17 in PPR points per game) and Rashid Shaheed (WR37) performing well. This level of production represents a significant improvement over what Derek Carr achieved with the same receiving corps.
Despite a 1-12 record as a starter, Rattler has demonstrated he belongs in the league, maintaining a respectable 8.2-yard average target depth (ranking 15th) and avoiding being labeled as a checkdown-heavy quarterback. The article credits both Rattler and first-year head coach Kellen Moore for elevating the passing game to average rather than the poor performance many expected.
Our take: I thought Rattler sucked. But he might suck a little less than I thought. I haven’t really heard a word about Tyler Shough since the season started, so Rattler’s starting job seems safe for now. There’s just very little upside in this Saints offense right now.
Yesterday’s poll results:

🥇 Best subscriber comment (SELL): “He's a Bears QB. They've never drafted a QB they couldn't wreck. 😁”
Our take: Caleb has shown enough upside that I’m buying. He might not be living up to his enormous expectations at this exact moment, but it seems like he’ll have a long leash to figure it out and become more consistent.
