Shouting out some great content in the industry:

QB - Matthew Stafford (LAR)

  • Matthew Stafford is quietly having an exceptional NFL and fantasy season, currently leading the NFL with 25 passing touchdowns and ranking as the QB5 in points per game with 20.91 fantasy points.

  • Stafford has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first player in NFL history to throw four or more touchdowns and zero interceptions in three consecutive games, demonstrating consistent high-level performance.

  • The article emphasizes that Stafford has confidently secured a place in the QB1 range and is currently a more trustworthy fantasy option than several other quarterbacks, including Baker Mayfield, Jared Goff, and Daniel Jones.

  • Our take: Remember when he had that back injury in the preseason and there were questions if he’d play at all to start the year? L.O.L. I’m rooting for him to win MVP this year. We have him right around a 2026 Late 1st in our consensus rankings.

RB - TreVeyon Henderson (NE)

  • Henderson had the breakout game his drafters had been anticipating, playing 51 snaps compared to minimal playing time for other running backs and dominating the backfield with 14 carries for 147 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

  • His performance included an impressive 69-yard touchdown run, demonstrating his explosive potential, though the article cautions that such high-level output can't be expected every week.

  • Henderson's workhorse role suggests he has become a locked-in starter, with the Patriots unlikely to revert to their previous running back deployment strategy after his standout performance.

  • Our take: This feels somewhat similar to the Dowdle / Hubbard changing of the guard we saw earlier this season. It will be hard for Vrabel to justify giving more reps to Rhamondre when he gets back if Henderson keeps playing well while he’s out. I imagine the buying window on Henderson just slammed shut in most leagues because of this performance.

RB - Trey Benson (ARI)

  • Trey Benson is nearing a return from a knee injury that sidelined him since Week 4 with an initial four-to-six-week timeline.

  • Before his injury, he handled 73% of the team’s rushing attempts and a 12.5% target share.

  • With injuries in the Cardinals’ backfield, Benson could quickly reclaim a major role upon return.

  • His Weeks 16 and 17 matchups against Atlanta and Cincinnati make him an intriguing speculative buy for playoff planning.

  • Our take: I’m expecting Benson to be a solid RB2 down the stretch. He’s just above a 2026 Early 2nd in our consensus rankings, which feels like a great value for the rest of this year and beyond.

TE - Cade Otton (TB)

  • He saw 12 targets and caught nine passes for 82 yards, clearing 17 fantasy points and continuing a strong usage trend.

  • He has scored at least 10 points in four of his last five games, and injuries to key wide receivers have funneled reliable volume his direction.

  • The hosts characterized Cade Otton as a weekly TE1 given the target stability and recent production.

  • Our take: We’ve seen this in stretches before. When TB is down some WR, Otton has the potential to eat. Not a bad fill-in for teams that might’ve lost Kraft or Kincaid recently. He should be super cheap to acquire. We have him right around a 2026 Early 3rd.

WR - Jaylen Waddle (MIA)

  • Without Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle’s yards per route run and first down per route run rates rank among the best this year over a substantial route sample, and the hosts’ film review shows him consistently separating cleanly.

  • They note Waddle looks as healthy as he has in a while, with frequent in and out of break wins and steady yardage in five of six recent games excluding the Browns outlier.

  • Rest of season scheduling is discussed as workable, with multiple competitive game environments where his role and efficiency should translate into reliable fantasy production.

  • The hosts have moved Waddle up in rest of season ranks given role stability with his quarterback and play caller, acknowledging typical volatility but viewing him as a safe weekly starter.

  • Our take: Waddle ranks 8th overall with a 2.39 YPRR among WR with at least 100 routes this season (source). He’s just behind Lamb (2.44) and above Chase (2.36), which gives you an idea of how well he is playing. We have him just above a 2026 or 2027 Mid 1st in our rankings.

That’s all for today!

See ya pizza,

Joe
