Yooo!

In case you missed it, we dropped the newsletter cadence down to 1x per week for the early part of the offseason.

We’re working on some big updates to the website and can’t wait to share them with you as we make progress!

In the meantime, you can expect our newsletters to land in your inbox every Wed at 9pm EST up until the NFL draft (late April). We’ll increase the newsletter cadence again after that.

Last week, I asked you all: ā€œDo you think Rodgers will retire?ā€

80.7% of you said YES.

Best subscriber comments:

  • Yes: ā€œI think Tomlin stepping down sealed his retirement after that awful loss to the Texans. Time to ride off into the Ayahuasca sunset...ā€

  • No: ā€œThe throw he made through DKs hands in blanket coverage with safety help was one of the best throws I’ve seen this year. No kids, still capable, it’s just a matter of desire and fit. My bold call… Arizona Cardinalsā€

  • No: ā€œHe'll complete the Favre tour and finish 1 year competing/teaching JJ McCarthy in Minnesota...as long as he comes out of his dark retreat in timeā€

Our take: I think he showed enough with his arm this year to keep telling himself he’s still got it. He seems like the type of guy who will keep going until he physically can’t. I don’t know where he’ll end up, but it just doesn’t feel like the end to me.

Alright, now let’s cover 5 of the most important insights from the past week.

Giddy up.

Shouting out some great content in the industry:

WR - Keon Coleman (BUF)

  • Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula revealed that Coleman's draft selection was primarily pushed by the coaching staff, and not necessarily the top choice of general manager Brandon Beane, indicating potential organizational uncertainty about the player.

  • Coleman has been largely disappointing in his two seasons with the team, catching 67 of 116 targets for 970 yards and eight touchdowns in 26 games, which is considered underwhelming performance.

  • The player has also faced maturity issues, including being suspended for arriving late to team meetings, and with head coach Sean McDermott's recent firing, Coleman's future with the team appears uncertain.

  • Our take: Pegula did his best Shaggy impression when asked about drafting Keon Coleman, essentially saying: ā€œIt wasn’t me.ā€ Seems like the best thing for both sides at this point is a change of scenery. I’m slightly interested where he ends up since we’ve seen the flashes of his talent.

What is Keon Coleman worth?

QB - Kirk Cousins (ATL)

  • Specifically valuable in superflex dynasty leagues, Cousins could potentially land a starting job this offseason, with the incoming rookie quarterback class being considered weak.

  • Despite underwhelming raw stats in 2025, Cousins tested well in several advanced metrics, ranking 9th in highly accurate throw percentage, 14th in PFF passing grade, and 17th in catchable throw percentage.

  • His recent contract rework with Atlanta and potential reunion with Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota make him an intriguing and potentially cheap QB3 acquisition for dynasty managers.

  • Our take: Kirk back in MIN would be a wild turn of events. I think he should still be a starter in this league. I hope he gets another shot at it.

TE - Oronde Gadsden (LAC)

  • Oronde Gadsden is singled out as a potential biggest winner, with the argument that Mike McDaniel’s recent tight end usage shows an ability to feature the position in a fantasy-relevant way.

  • The hosts connect his year-two outlook to a projected role over the middle, implying that the offense could funnel him meaningful targets if the structure mirrors those tight end friendly elements.

  • They note the broader shift that Miami showed, moving from a period where tight ends were considered irrelevant for fantasy to a situation where the position became a weekly factor, which supports the optimism.

  • Our take: I like this move a lot for everyone involved. Mike McDaniel seems like a better fit as an OC wiz. The whole LAC offense should get a bump. And with a healthier/retooled O-line, Gadsden shouldn’t have to stay in and help block as often.

RB - Kenneth Walker III (SEA)

  • Kenneth Walker showcased his explosive potential with a standout performance against San Francisco in the NFC Divisional Playoff, recording an impressive stat line of 19-116-3 on the ground and 3-29-0 through the air.

  • The article speculates about potential landing spots for Walker, with Dallas being an ideal dream scenario due to their need for a solid RB1, though the Cowboys' cap situation (-$32M) might complicate such a move.

  • Walker's free agency is characterized by uncertainty, with the article suggesting that his ultimate destination will likely be determined by financial considerations, potentially making teams like Houston an interesting option for acquiring the talented running back.

  • Our take: Charbonnet’s injury makes things really interesting for Walker’s market. It seemed most likely that Walker would walk, but maybe SEA tries to bring him back now. Probably will drive up his price regardless. A change of scenery is probably best for his dynasty value.

WR - Omar Cooper Jr. (Indiana)

  • Omar Cooper Jr. is a wide receiver from Indiana with a progressively improving college career, starting with limited playing time in 2022-2024 and breaking out in 2025 with an impressive 64-866-13 season. He was a four-star recruit who also played basketball in high school and has developed into a versatile receiver.

  • Cooper is a physically tough slot receiver with exceptional after-catch abilities, demonstrating excellent contact balance and competitiveness. He has a strong willingness to work the middle of the field, lower his shoulder against defenders, and has proven to be an effective runner who can shake off tackles and gain additional yards.

  • As a receiver, Cooper shows remarkable ball skills with only five drops in 110 career catches, and the ability to make acrobatic and contested catches. He is particularly effective on screens and underneath routes, with the ability to create timing-based throwing windows against man coverage and improvise when plays break down.

  • Our take: Hoo, hoo, hoo, HOOSIERS! I’ve never been a huge college football fan growing up in NY. There wasn’t a clear hometown team to root for. But my fiancĆ© went to IU, so I’ve adopted them as my team in recent years by default. Watching them get smoked by Notre Dame last year in the CFP was disheartening. Watching them go undefeated and win the natty was surreal. IU had a lot of weapons this year, but Cooper stood out whenever it was thrown his way (particularly after the catch). I’m excited to see how he transitions to the NFL.

That’s all for tonight!

See ya pizza,

Joe
