QB - Dak Prescott (DAL)

  • Despite Prescott's disappointing Week 1 statistical performance (21/34 for 188 yards, 0 TDs), the article notes that he actually looked very sharp in the game. His struggles were attributed more to a tough Philadelphia defense and unreliable receiving corps rather than his own performance.

  • The wide gap in expert rankings for Prescott (ranging from QB8 to QB24) reflects the uncertainty following his QB29 finish in Week 1. However, the article suggests his Week 2 matchup against the Giants presents an ideal bounce-back opportunity.

  • The article projects Prescott as QB12 for Week 2, indicating confidence in a rebound performance despite the concerning Week 1 numbers.

RB - J.K. Dobbins (DEN)

  • Dobbins showed promise in Week 1 against the Titans, breaking free for significant runs that helped Denver secure their victory. Despite sharing touches with Tyler Badie and RJ Harvey, Dobbins managed to exceed his rushing expectations and demonstrated big-play ability.

  • Looking ahead to Week 2, Dobbins has a favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, who ranked 22nd in defensive rushing DVOA and 23rd in PFF's rushing defense grade in Week 1. The Colts showed vulnerability against the run despite their overall defensive success against Miami.

  • Head coach Sean Payton has explicitly stated his intention to increase the team's rushing attempts in Week 2, which bodes well for Dobbins' outlook. The analysis projects Denver's defense to limit the Colts' offense, potentially creating more rushing opportunities for Dobbins in a game script that should favor the running game.

WR - Cedric Tillman (CLE)

  • Tillman continued his strong play from last season in Week 1, finishing as WR18 with five catches on eight targets for 58 yards and a touchdown. This performance aligns with his previous success, having finished inside the top-16 at the WR position three times in just four games as a full-time player in 2024.

  • The article highlights Tillman's development as Cleveland's full-time WR2, noting that while his career receiving line of 55/615/4 over 26 games represents a small sample size, his role appears secure and he has excelled when given the opportunity.

  • For Week 2, Tillman faces a promising matchup against Baltimore, the same team against which he had his best game as a pro last season (7 catches, 99 yards, 2 TDs). The article predicts significant involvement for Tillman as the Browns try to keep pace with Baltimore's scoring, suggesting he could have another breakout performance despite being a deeper league option.

WR - Keon Coleman (BUF)

  • Keon Coleman lived up to preseason expectations in Week 1 with a standout performance, hauling in 8 of 11 targets for 112 yards and a touchdown, though the article notes this came in an unusually pass-heavy game for the Bills.

  • Coleman has established himself as the preferred wide receiver option in the Bills' offense, making him a valuable fantasy asset moving forward.

  • The second-year player faces an advantageous matchup in Week 2 against the Jets, who recently struggled against the passing game, allowing significant yardage to receivers like DK Metcalf (83 yards) and Calvin Austin (70 yards).

TE - David Njoku (CLE)

  • David Njoku maintained a healthy 79.2% route share in Week 1, significantly higher than rookie Harold Fannin Jr.'s 60.4%. While Njoku's Week 1 production was modest (6 targets, 3 receptions, 37 yards), his utilization metrics suggest he should remain a viable fantasy option, though his ceiling may be impacted by Fannin's emergence.

  • Njoku's target rate dropped from 21% in 2024 to just 13% in Week 1, with a first-read target rate of only 8%. However, his strong route participation (79.2%) indicates he should continue to be started in fantasy lineups, though expectations should be adjusted to more of a low-end TE1 rather than the potential top-5 upside he seemed to have when Flacco was named starter.

  • The article suggests keeping Njoku in starting lineups despite Week 1's underwhelming performance, noting that his playing time and route participation remain strong enough to expect production to follow. There's also speculation about potential trade rumors, which could impact both his and Fannin's future value.

Benson is one my most-owned players in Dynasty this year. Week 1 was encouraging but I still think it will take an injury for him to completely take over. His arrow is pointing up for sure, though, regardless.
