Yooo!
We got a big trade to discuss tonight. Waddle to the Broncos. I’ll cover 10 players impacted by the deal + some sentiment gathered from Reddit commenters.
In case you missed it, we dropped the newsletter cadence down to 1x per week for the early part of the offseason.
We’re working on some big updates to the website and can’t wait to share them with you as we make progress!
In the meantime, you can expect our newsletters to land in your inbox every Wed at 9pm EST up until the NFL draft (late April). We’ll increase the newsletter cadence again after that.
Last week, I asked you all: “Would you trade a 1st round pick to acquire DJ Moore as a dynasty contender?”
81.5% of you said NO.

Best subscriber comments:
Yes: “A late 2026 or future 1st would be doable for me if I was trying to make a run this year and needed some WR depth. I feel like the Moore owners aren't looking for much more, and there's a good chance that he has a career year this year.”
No: “I traded a mid second and Coker for him, if he’s top 30 for the next two seasons I’d be pretty happy”
Our take: I would aim higher than DJ if I was giving up a 1st rounder, but if I couldn’t find a deal, I would have no problem selling a late 2026 for him.
Alright, now let’s get to the Waddle trade.
Giddy up.

Last night, I wrote up a quick reddit post using a TON of info from our new website (coming soon!) to summarize some of the instant reactions around the industry to the Jaylen Waddle trade.
I posted in both r/fantasyfootball and r/DynastyFF just after 11pm EST, and so far, these posts have a combined 275K+ views.
Here’s the original post with an extra bonus for you at the end. Enjoy!
10 players impacted by the Jaylen Waddle trade
Jaylen Waddle: Moves away from a lot of uncertainty in Miami. Projects as a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3. His speed, route awareness, and ability to win against man coverage should fit seamlessly into Sean Payton's offense. Might get less targets than if he was in MIA, but they should be higher quality.
Malik Willis: Big blow for Malik. The offense will likely run through Achane and limit his passing upside. But maybe that forces him to make more things happen with his legs? Feels eerily similar to Justin Fields’ last year (but at least he had Garrett Wilson).
De’Von Achane:
Willis targeted running backs at an 8% rate compared to Tua Tagovailoa's 20%. Would expect that 8% number to go up, though, given the lack of receiving options now.
Achane's past production has been heavily reliant on his pass-catching ability, accounting for 43.7% of his total fantasy points over the last two seasons, ranking first among running backs in points from passing plays.
Achane's stacked box rate increased from 17% in 2023 (when splitting time) to 33% in 2024 and 40% in 2025. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that rise again in 2026 with the departure of Waddle.
Bo Nix: This move could help him challenge for the top-five QB range (QB7 the last 2 years). Efficiency and passing production should increase with Waddle's ability to separate and gain yards after the catch. Significantly raise Nix's fantasy floor.
Courtland Sutton: Many analysts projecting him to slide to a TD-dependent WR3 or flex option. Role is expected to shift from the primary receiver to a possession-oriented role, potentially benefiting from more 1-on-1 coverage opportunities as Waddle draws defensive attention.
Troy Franklin, Pay Bryant, Marvin Mims: Unlikely this offense is going to support 3 fantasy-relevant pass catchers. Which will make it extremely difficult to project any consistency from these guys.
RJ Harvey: Waddle will likely siphon some targets in the short-to-intermediate areas, potentially impacting his floor and making Harvey more TD-dependent. Re-signing Dobbins makes that even murkier. But maybe there are more scoring opportunities overall with an improved offense.
AJ Brown:
The Waddle trade validates the Eagles' asking price for A.J. Brown, which is expected to be at least a first and second-round pick.
Significant dead cap implications for the Eagles before June 1st (waiting for June 1st avoids a $43 million dead cap hit) means a trade is unlikely to happen before then.
According to Locked on Eagles podcast, belief is that A.J. Brown will play for the Eagles next season unless the team receives an offer of two first-round picks.
BONUS:
Since the post did pretty well, there were a lot of good comments that I wanted to summarize here to give you the people's sentiment vs. what the experts are saying. See below:
Achane — Most debated player. Sentiment is bearish. Commenters worry the offense will be awful without Waddle, drawing Breece Hall 2025 comparisons. Stacked boxes will increase further. Several people think Miami should/will trade him (Bears mentioned as a destination) since he's entering his final contract year. A few pushback voices say his talent transcends situation, but the majority see downside.
Waddle — Sentiment is mixed-to-positive. Multiple commenters see it as a lateral move at best. He goes from clear WR1 to competing with Sutton in a Payton offense that historically spreads targets. One commenter flagged a KTC spike (~300 points) and called it a sell-high window. The consensus leans "better QB/offense but more target competition."
Sutton — Commenters actually pushed back on the bearish analyst consensus. Several argued he'll benefit from less defensive attention and remain a reliable every-down target, not just a TD-dependent flex. One comp'd him to Marques Colston in Payton's system — high floor, low ceiling. Sentiment is more bullish than my post suggested.
Greg Dulcich — Frequent mention as a sleeper winner, especially in TEP. Sentiment is cautiously optimistic but tempered by concerns for Willis as a passer. The McBride/Kyler-to-Brissett comp was used as a counter-argument.
Miami WRs (Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, ???) — Tolbert got a notable callout due to his friendship with Willis from the 2022 Senior Bowl. Others called out that Miami could take a WR early in the draft. There will be an opportunity for someone in this WR room.
That’s all I got for you tonight! What’s your take on Waddle? 👇️
